The Life Warrior is a free on-line devotional meant to facilitate the seeking of wisdom as taught through the book of Proverbs.  Since there are 31 chapters of the book of Proverbs, they easily translate into reading one chapter per day for each day of the month.  Each chapter is relatively short and can easily be read in only a few minutes.  However, within each chapter is contained a treasure of wisdom, sometimes too much to digest in one sitting or even in one day!  Therefore, in this study we are choosing one verse from the chapter that we have read to focus on for the day, meditating on it, perhaps memorizing it, and then seeking for ways to apply it to our lives throughout the day.

Breaking down the learning of wisdom into manageable pieces that are not only easily learned in a relatively short amount of time, but also applied, is the key to actually being able to say that we have gained wisdom!  Mental knowledge alone is never wisdom.  The mental knowledge of wisdom, coupled with understanding and application is what allows us to be able to say that we have actually gained wisdom.

The following six posts are meant to be read one per day, as a foundation for this study of the book of Proverbs.  If you have questions regarding this study, then taking the first six days to read through these posts should hopefully answer most of those questions!  It is my hope that they will also bring you inspiration to join me as we study and meditate daily.
